Hal Frydman, Acting Teacher, Acting Coach, Actor, Writer, Director

I am a truly blessed guy. I am living my passion, doing what I love. Who can ask for more?

My passion is acting. My passion is playwrighting. My passion is all about people. These are the things that move me, that bring meaning to my life. The creative me that longs to share all that I am, in words, in actions, in love.

I invite you to this place with me. Acting is all about passions, allowing the feelings that are truly within you to come forth and blossom into greatness. Without Fear. Without shame or guilt. There is nothing more that I hope for when working with my clients than to watch them break free of the fears that hold us bondage to self, and become Who-You-Truly-Are.

I have studied and taught acting for well over 20 years. If put into a box (and yes, I truly hate boxes) I would have to say my teaching technique is a combination of the acting techniques of Sanford Meisner and Stella Adler (I incorporate my own versions of their exercises), combined with the Life Coaching approach made famous by the amazing people at The Coaches Training Institue. I also have a degree in psychology from the City University of New York (which I tend to have let go of it since I've found it mainly useless in my work) :-).

In a nutshell, for me all art (acting and writing in particular) is about Truth. Without Truth we tend to be rudderless, constantly effected by the whims of everyday life that pound at our consciousness constantly. Once we have identified our truths and live by them moment-to-moment, then we can truly become our truest selves.

Thank you for visiting my page. It is truly an honor to serve you. If you have any questions or comments...or simply want to shoot the breeze, feel free to email me at actingtruthfully@yahoo.com or call (646) 807-6024. Please don't take it personally if I am not able to answer immediately, but I promise to get back to you asap.

Your Spirit is your Truth,

Harold Frydman
